On Frida, January 28th, my wife and I took our daughter to see Taylor Swift in concert in Tampa, Florida. The concert was excellent, and worth every bit. She sang most of the songs off her debut album, and played a few of her contermporarie's covers.
She spoke quite a bit about her songs in between playing. It's amazing what she has accolished at 17 years of age. One of the funnier explanations was the one concerning the boy she had a crush on freshman year of high school. She explained that he didn't know it then, but he does now. Of course, the song is named after him.

It was about 20 years ago, when I saw Jethro Tull play at Jones Beach. Though I  vaguely remember the details, one thing that really stands out is the dialogure of Ian Anderson between songs. I know I enjoyed the music, but more than that, that dialogue was really fun to listen to.
Earlier this year, I got an email from 94.5 in Fort Myers, offering pre sale tickets to see Jethro Tull at BB Mann Hall, on the Edison Community College Campus. I was able to purchase 8th row center stage seats to see Tull again. |
